Trade Show Logistics & Booth Setup at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC)

The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) hosts massive events like IAAPA Expo and IBS/KBIS. With strict move-in schedules, freight timelines, and rigging approvals, exhibitors need to plan early.

Summit Exhibit has managed Orlando exhibit programs for more than 15 years using our ISO 14001-certified exhibit system.

Step 1 - Understand OCCC Move-In Rules

  • Target move-in dates are set by Freeman, GES, or other General Contractors

  • Marshaling yard check-in is required for direct freight.

  • Dock space is limited and tightly scheduled.

Step 2 - Ship to the Advance Warehouse

Advance warehouse rates are usually the same as direct-to-show-site. Shipping advance ensures predictable delivery and avoids marshaling delays.

Step 3 - Booth Setup & EAC Coordination

Summit handles EAC approvals, provides tools, and manages full installation and dismantle.

Step 4 - Avoid Common Pitfalls

  • Late freight

  • Electrical delays

  • Rigging delays

  • Missing graphics

  • Late show orders
